Bio:

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Solomon now lives in Manhattan where he rides his bicycle as much as possible. New York collaborations with Alethea Adsitt, Arch Dance, Barnard College, Julian Barnett Project, Bill T. Jones / Arnie Zane Dance, Brooklyn Mecca, Cardium Mechanicum, danscores by Ofelia Loret de Mola, Ryan J. Davis, Ditch, Eleventh Hour, Evolve, Fresh Ice, Harrington & Kauffman, House Dance International, Lane Gifford, Leimay Acts Lab, Lincoln Center Director’s Lab, Frank London, Metropolis Opera Project, The Nerve Tank (of which he is a core member and resident designer), One Arm Red, Small Pond, Superhero Clubhouse, T. Lang, UTC #61, WaxFactory, and White Wave Dance. Regionally: The Herson Group, Kitchen Theatre Company, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Tri-Cities Opera. Solomon holds a BFA in Theatrical Design from Ithaca College.

Dan Hurlin's DISFARMER, a touring puppet piece that premiered last winter at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn. Wesleyan University Oct 16 and 17, Clarice Smith PAC in Maryland Nov 5 and 6, Spring engagements at Mass MoCa and Boston ICA. Associate lighting design.

AGAMEMNON in a new translation by Alec Harrington and the 11th Hour Theatre Company at La Mama E.T.C. Annex. Opens November 12. Scenic and lighting design.

A NIGHT IN THE OLD MARKETPLACE, a touring concert version of an old Jewish fable. Music by Frank London. At the Teatro Manzoni, Milan, Italy. November 29. Lighting design and production management.

BLIND.NESS and QUARTET, two pieces by WaxFactory presented by the Abrons Art Center and PS122 as part of the COIL festival. BLIND.NESS premiered in October 2008 at PS122 with my lighting design. QUARTET was designed years ago by Tyler Micoleau, for whom I'll be overseeing its implementation. Jan / Feb 2010.
